Fishing Report 1/5/2020
Welcome to 2020! Going into the week it was looking like we wouldn’t get a chance to fish. With the crappy weather and water color as well as the holiday in the mix, finding a chance to get on the water was looking grim.
However – with only a little prodding, one of my friends convinced me to check out the upper Niagara yesterday. The fishing didn’t pan out very well but the water color seemed to get better by the hour. This prompted me to keep today’s trip on schedule and I’m glad I did. Action was consistent and Terry and I had a blast.
Good fishing windows are looking kind of lean in the near term – I’m betting the lower Niagara will fish well tomorrow through the wind. However – after tomorrow – things are looking grim for another small stretch. All the more reason to get it in when you can.
Save a life – including your own – avoid the shack nasties at all costs this winter. Fishing is probably the best way to do that…just sayin’. If and when you’re ready – we’ve got you covered
